what do you do to a stationary engine to make it fire ever 24 revolutions, i seen this at a show once every 24 revolutions the engine would fire and the repeat the process..

depends on what kind of engine you have. you need a hit and miss engine to start with. alot of factors come into play. such as compression of the cylinder how worn the throttle linkage is and how hevy your govner springs are.

The most common way is to loosen or replace the
springs on the governor with a weaker set.This will allow the centrifugal force to overcome the
springs and latch the exhaust valve pushrod open sooner and for a longer period.Sometimes they run with only one weak spring.
