I have a type E with the serial number of 234058. This number is before 1923. I canot find a listing with this number. What year is it? please e-mail with information to [email protected]

tF, A friend of mine also has one of the pre-production models. He also happens to be a wonderful person and very knowledgable about antique JDs (presents seminars @ Gathering of the Green, etc.) I'm sure he would be interested to talk to you about your engine. Thank you Jogg, I have found that for some reason JD did not keep the greatest records for the year/serial # relationship. My dealer is figuring a year of 1920 thru 1922. The serial numbers have gaps in the years preceding 1923 and no listing for serial number to year. Any more information would be nice. Thank you. [email protected]
