Anyone know a brief history of Tillotson carburetors. When started? by who? are they still in business? where to get parts?

Tillotson Carbs were originally designed in Detroit. I believe when Mr. Tillotson died, his daughter and two other women, I believe they were widows of partners, sold out, if I remember my reading of the family tree.

Andrew,
I have a B F Avery Model A tractor with a Tillotson YC-10A. I could not find parts. Fortunately I was able to make a bowl gasket and it truned out ok. I was told by a parts distributor that there was a replacement carb avialable from Briggs & Straton (P/N 293950). If can't find what you need, you may try to pursue a replacement B&S carb.

Good Luck,
Kent
