a few days ago while chatting online with some friends we were trying to figure out what kind of engine this is. there is no name or plate on it.
anyone have an idea?

Its a 1 1/2 HP Simplicity. Should have a webster mag and ignitor bracket on it. The serial number can be found on the top front of the hopper.

Thanks Frank, I looked at a bunch of pictures of Simplicity engines and they do match. It's great to have someone who knows and a place to ask questions when you are the dumb one.
