Hi,
I have an air start petter BA1 engine. It is 8.75hp and was used on a truck to power an air compressor. can anyone give me any information especially colours as I hope to restore it and it is grease coloured at the moment.

As Bob McDermaid has already mentioned, there is info on the injector gear on our web pages.

The colour could be anything that the customer for the engine wanted, or may have been painted at the same time as the rest of the equipment.

The "standard" engine colour is BS381C Shade 226 Mid Brunswick Green. This is the colour that nearly all Listers, most Petters and a lot of others such as Bamfords etc etc used.

I haven't a handbook for the BA1 but will keep an eye open for one.
