I have the opportunity to buy the above engine for $200. Needs a magneto, and one flywheel has been repaired, otherwise complete. Not running, but all parts are there and the engine is loose.
Any opinions? Is this worth the price?

My father has one of these engines. It is water cooled and type E. We need to replace the magneto.
Anyone know where I can get one in good working condition???Want to find one for less than $250.
Thanks!

Yes, there are a lot of JD but a JD with a JD pumpjack for $350????? I'll take a truck load at that price and I don't mean a pickup. Around here you would be looking at 1200--1500! If will holds water, I would buy it in a heart beat--and I don't really like them!

Sounds OK to me but check if it holds water. I've seen to many lately that look restorable but have cracked water jackets. If the block is sound, YES!

I have for sale a JD 1.5 hp stationary engine. The engine is in original condition.(never taken apart) But it has new paint and decals. Looks and runs like new.If interested, I can email you a photo and will hold for you with a deposit. I WOULD LIKE $500.00 FOR THIS BEAUTY.

I have one of those little engines, Those engines are a dime a dozen really. Id say $150 for what you're lookin at. I gave $350 for mine fully restored and with a JD pumpjack bolted to it. But go ahead and get it, they are a joy to play with.
