I hope someone might educate me a bit on this Witte model B Radiator cooled 10hp enging I`ve located . There seems there has to be an upright radiator thats missing above what I assume is the water hopper. The Mag. is also missing but everything else seems to be there. There is a huge clutch arrangement on the right side with a single flywheel on the left side. On the end of the clutch are several [maybe 5 pullys side by side with no space in between.

The bottom of the tag states "oilfield division". The overall appearance of the engine seems to be very good but the head seems to have a crack that was repaired by welding long ago. The weld seems to have held up very well.

The fellow wants $100 for the engine. Is this something a novice might be able to restore and can he get a radiator and mag for this big fellow.

Has a bore of 5" and stroke of 6" with listing of 900 RPM. Serial # is 61xx and again is listed as a model B.

Thanks to anyone who might put some light on this subject for me. I love the thought of restoring something like this. I am pretty good mechanically.

Regards, Jerry.

Contact Mr. Ed Deis at Hit and Miss Enterprises. He may be able to get parts and operating manuals.
Ed is sending me both manuals for a Witte natural gas Witte 98RC and said he can supply parts.
