Hey Boyz,

What is the approximately value of a John Deere one and a half horsepower engine if you're buying it. It has a mag, an ignitor, and starts right up and hits and misses. I thought his asking price is a little high but thought I would ask you all before I jump too fast. His firm price, so he says, is $800.00. Whatayathink?

Sonney, I think he is "high"!! I see a lot of them for sell around the $600 area. I wouldn't even pay that ,got to many for under $100, but has been some time ago. Just depends how bad you want it, and of course your check book!! Luck to you, (there is a lot of them for sell)

from what i seen at portland IN last year, not a bad buy. i'd try cheaper if i could, but not let it get away at that. if you just wanted an E 1 1/2 and were close to KY i have one i could consider sell or trade, runs on coil though.
