Can anyone give me any lead on where I can get a belt driven governer. What I want is, what did they come on? Would like to get one from a junkyard. Don't want to buy a new one or oem replacement.

I need to limit a motor to about 4000 rpms.

Tim..... .check the new Surplus Center catalog or their # 800-488-3407. They list one that you could adapt for $28.95. Item # is 28-1201. C. DeLong

Tim: I don't know what engine you want to apply
this to, but a lot of old Massey Harris combines
that had the six cylinder Chrysler flatheads, used
a belt-driven Pierce governor that might work.
This might give you a starting point at least.

What engine are you using? You could try Hoff Mfg. Co. at 312-767-6200. Maybe they could tell you correct one for your engine.

The engine i want to put it on was designed to have a vacume governer. I want a mechanical one.
I can make anything work as long as i don't have to start from scratch and build one. Too time consuming.
