Hi, I just started working on a Wisconsin THD. I had read about your problem before working on my fuel pump. I purchased a new fuel pump and had similar problems. I checked everything. It so happened that I had a rebuild kit for the fuel pump so I installed it in the Brand New Fuel Pump and it started working. I also checked all my lines and fittings. Pumps like crazy. Hope it stays that way.

The pump I installed has different valves in it compared to the old pump. The old pump had small fiber board disks in it. The new pump used rubber washers. I will run it a while an make sure it stays working. Regards, Terry

It sounds like the cam is not moveing the lever. It could be worn off,or the lever is not touching it.

I had similar problems but with a different model motor. Gave up in the end and simply fitted a electronic fuel pump.

I would say to follow the gas line all the way to the tank double check all your fittings ,make sure your not sucking air some place, and check the screen in the tank
