Removing Head Bolts on Wisconsin Engines

Does anyone know a faster way of removing the stubborn, stuck head bolts from a Wisconsin engine other than lots of patience and even more WD40? I have been soaking a V-4 for several weeks, and still have several head bolts that refuse to budge. I am not fond of the possibility of breaking bolts, only to have to drill and tap the remnants. Any ideas? Thanks..... Greg

I recommend PB Blaster for a penetrating oil. I now use WD40 only for taking heavy layers of grease off of engines.

A coule of squirts of PB Blaster a day and a few light taps with a brass hammer (as already suggested) and the bolts should come out. Patience still required!

A GOOD penetrating oil, for starters. WD-40 is not a good penetrant. Try tapping on the bolt heads. Don't hit them hard enough to damage anything, just tap on them several times a day, for about a week. I've been through this, myself. Patience is the key.
