just curious anybody have serial and or model # list for aging this fine piece of machinery. i picked it up today for helping a friend look at his red iron building frame i been helping him with i believe it was 2 bolts in one purlin then it was to hot to work on sunday and he loaded it in my truck and said ad this to your others anyhow his dad of 80 or so said he use to write a company for parts i suspect Iowa but its sunday
so if ya have any info on this thanks & i know its sunday 2 cyl, throttle handle under tank,thats aluminium oval shape but square back,direct drive/no rev gear,lower unit gear access at rear only,no recoil start cap if ever had one, and missing cowling around motor,looks to have a water pump on this one

Randy Hi from New Zealand I see your note on a Wards engine. I have just found a single cylinder 3 to 5 h/p motor . I can find no reference about it except Wards Montgomery Does it mean that Wards manufactured motors in Montgomery USA. Can anyone help with history , manuals, how to find year of manufacture. Rgds Leo

This motor is a Sea King 5 HP boat motor. I'm not sure of the age though.

Actually, Montgomery wards is the name of the company. Link some of the sea kings were made by chrysler
