I picked up a Jaeger cement mixer that looks like it was manufactured during the early 20's. The engine that is now on it is a 2 cylinder LeRoi. The engine looks like it might be out of the 30's. Its a rather large mixer and I was wondering what engine this mixer originally had on it. Any insight into this mixer would be appreciated.

Dan

Most likely would have been a Hercules made engine I would guess. Many were decalled with
Jaeger logo. Wendel's book says Jaeger used
engines from various makers. Bill

I recently purchased a large cement mixer, with four spring mounted rubber tires on heavy frame with no motor. It has a large external gear araound the drum and is painted grey. It has never mixed concrete and is in mint condition with water tank mounted above and large material loading shute with cable winding load assy. It dumps by turning large wheel in back which opens the dump shut to catch mixed concrete. I am looking for any information as Jaeger is the only identification name I can find on unit.
Capacity, desireable revolution speed, etc.

Hello, I am quite interested in seeing some pictures of the unit which you aquired. I've heard alot about them but have never seen any really good pictures. Anything you could forward would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Rick.

Hi Billy, I have a Jaeger Cement mixer that is similar to yours. It mixes 6 cu. ft. or roughly between 1/4 - 1/5 yard. It has a Wisconsin 2 cyl gas engine that is 10 hp I think. I even have the original brochure with all of the specs somewhere.

Hi Tony, I might have the same Jaeger Cement Mixer as you and Billy. I bought mine at an auction, in very bad shape, drum and loading shute completely corroded, it also came without an engine. Would you be able to send me the engine specs and number of revolutions the drum should make, if you have some pictures they might help me identify missing parts.
Thank you in advance,

Fernando
