I am renovating an 1899 dutch sailing barge which is powered by a 1927 Deutz 2-Stroke Deisel. These engines used to be used (so I am told) in tractors in Holland around the time of WW2. Does anyone have any information or manuals about these engines, or know of the existence of any tractors or boats etc with such an engine, or even an old engine abandoned in the corner of a barn or shed somewhere? Thanks

I have a FL210 Deutz Deisel that the starter is out on it. However, I cannot find a new starter for it. Plus I have a manuals for this motor, but Im not sure about the date on it. we ran this motor for about ten years with a gen set on it untill the Generator went out.

I know a little about Deutz Diesel engines, because I´m from Germany and I´m interested in old stationary engines and I have literature about Deutz or can get it. If I had more information (descriptions, pictures, etc) I could perhaps help you. Your engine may be a type "PME ..." ?? vertical cylinder ?? direct injection ??
