I have a TYPE- WL AJAX engine ( 5 x 6 1/2 ). These were popular in the oilfields for pumping engines. I am in need of a few parts and was wondering if anyone knew of a parts source or has any information on these engines.

Thank you,
Virgil

I have several WL Ajax engines. Some are complete and some are parts engines. I am also an Ajax distributor in Wyoming and can ship anywhere in the USA. I have some new parts for WL's too.

There is an org called OFES (oil field engine society) that could likely help. Contact Russell
Farmer 1231 Bantas Creek Rd Eaton Oh 45320
or do a search for a web site. Good luck, Bill

Bill, Thanks for the information. I know that Cooper took over Ajax, that was originally built in Corry, Pa..
Cooper, just recently closed it's huge engine and compressor plant at Grove City, Pa. and moved alot of equipment to another area.

In response to your inquiry about info on your ajax engine. I live in Corry Pa. and my father-in-law was a asssembler at Ajax up to the time of the plant closing. He has always wanted to find and rebuild the old engines as you are doing. He is still sharp on the engines and he maybe able to help you. He is also looking for a old engine to purchase. If you are interested please e-mail back.
