Help I have a International LA 1.5-2.5HP engine that I need to repair some broken governor parts on. Now comes the problem I removed the flywheel to gain access to the cover. Then I removed all the bolts I could see from the cover and lightly pried on the cover to no avail. Tapped on it with a mallet which separated it ever so slightly. But the blasted thing still won't come off and the operators manual is of little help as it only tells how to reassemble the engine not disassemble it. My question is this: is there a trick, a hidden bolt or pipe, or does this thing just need the application of brute force?

Took my LB apart last week, Found that the side cover was stuck on two dowels, just take your time and work it off.
