The original subject was "Wisconsin engine".

Bobcat/Wisconsin blocks have holes drilled and tapped for hydraulic pumpdrive mount bracket, timing gears are hardened and have tapered roller bearings on the intermediate gear that drives the distributor and hydraulic pump, and of course the crank shaft drive end is tapered. almost all the other parts will work from either a vf4d or vh4d. you will also have to find the throttle brackets and carb air horn if you don,t have the original engine

No prints in 8 inch thick Wisconsin master parts
book. Must have been done for, and exclusive to
engines built special for Bobcat. Thus propriatary
to Bobcat.

My Wisconsin master parts book does not show a
mount for a hydraulic pump . It does show
both a magneto, and a distributor drive, with
distributor, which replaces the magneto. a
hydraulic pump drive may have been an accessory
added by Bobcat. I could speculate that it may
have been an extension of, or part of the
distributor drive, if your engine had one. If so
the old one may mount onto a different engine.

thanks for the info, I did not know their was a difference in the gears! will my original bobcats VF4D gears swap over to a non bobcat VH4D block assuming all shafts are to spec?

would you happen to have a print of where to put those extra holes if installing a pump on a VH4D that never had one?
