I have a model a ford. You can buy your c-4's from Synder's Antique Auto. A/T Model A And model T distributer. a c-4 is a model a ford plug. They also have auto lights.

Hi fellow engine man. I am a long way from you but shared the same problem. I went to my local, national after market parts dealer and asked for a look at the latest ref manual. Although they dont make all the heat ranges (they pick around the middle) I was surprized to find they were still available from the manufactuer (champion) If you just ask behind the counter you will get a no sir. Give it a go, I have over 100 engines before 1930 and have a stock of new plugs for them all. Any problems feel free to email me and I may be able to help from here. Good luck and cheers Graeme Wardlaw.

C4 isn't the correct plug. OEM from old Champion chart is 1 COM (#1 commercial) which was replaced by Champion W-14 (stock # 569) which should be easy to find. Hey I even have a bunch of new ones on shelf. W-14 also subs to AC C75 or Autolite 3075.

Threads aren't odd they are just larger 7/8 inch 18 thread per inch. The W-14Y is a plug with projected core. Are you sure C4 is the correct OEM plug for it? Vendors like Starbolts and Hit & Miss will have the plug you need.

C-4 later became Champion W-16Y a plug that hardly anyone stocks today. Check with engine parts and spark plug advertisers at enginads.com or smokstak.com
