Well, I have a little repair info: a couple Federal-Mogul bearing catalogs giving some crankshaft dimensions etc, but I have no dig camera or scanner to send you pages, nor do I know of anyone off the top of my head here that can. I"ll ask my daughter in the AM. The 50 rod/main bearing catalog doesn"t show it, but it is in the 1951 supplement, as the DFX Series: DFXB-C-D-E-H. I"m advised by an expert that the B, C etc is Herc code for the bore size, B being 5in, C 51/4, D51/2, E 55/8 and H 53/4, (6in stroke). Bad sign: the bearing #"s don"t follow the usual Herc numbers, and both rods and mains are noted: "delivery...indefinite" (no reason stated). The 63 Shop Spec manual lists them, does NOT have the "delivery indefinite" note, and has other diesels with similar bearing #"s, so looks like started a new set of bearing #"s for newer diesels. I"ve got a few contemporary parts catalogs; I"ll see if I find any truck/Ag listings; I have nothing on marine uses. Will advise; have you posted to any other US sites? If not, will suggest a couple. Sunny Au (OZ?) Burned, blasted, dreary outback or sunny lush seaside?? (Portland, Oregon, here, sunny and clear). Take care. Bud
