Wico condenser

I got a new one from Standard Magnetos and one end is yellow. Does it make a difference which end is grounded? The old one has the same colored wires on each end.

I would ask the Standard Magneto folks, to be sure.

However, this type of condensor is unlikely to be "polarized", so I doubt if it would matter.

Traditionally, for electronic use, when filtering or maximum noise suppression is desired, the "outside foil"... the very outside foil layer in the condensor gets grounded. The whole mag is inside a metal "can", and I don't see where condensor lead polarity would be an issue, but I'd ask and see what the "experts" say.
