Any suggesstions as how to remove old gas varnish from a gas tank.

Aloha, Lacquer thinner will take off all of the gummy stuff in the carb, so I would think that it would work in the tank.

Look at paint store or a Lowes for some MEK (methyl-ethyl-ketone) to pour in tank. Let it sit in tank and swish around and then flush out and will disolve varnish and help clean it out.
