A small brush and a steady hand, here is my hood badge I just painted, never tried the vaseline but sounds like it might work. Good luck!!!

A friend's wife does china painting as a hobby.

She can paint eyes and other details on tiny little china birds, etc..

In the past, I've talked her into painting some recessed letters on emblems, similar to what you are doing.

Took her no time at all, and the job was PERFECT.

Know anyone who does that?

You might try vasoline. I use it when I'm paint rims, I just coat the tire and then after I have paint the rim I wipe the vasoline off also leaves the tires looking nice LOL
