Sheet metal-small amt. gas oil mix in oil pan,set metal over,light it off, blisters paint-hit w/putty knife-wire brush-dirty but effective. less than cup of gas please!!!!!

I use a product called "Aircraft stripper". Available at some local auto paint stores in my area. Ask for it at hardware stores. It will soften up at least 4 layers at a time. When done, wash off with cold water and let dry. then wash with mineral spirits, and prime. May want to wash with Metal-prep before priming, but not necessary! Rusty

Try using zip strip then all you need is a putty knife and a wire brush works good .

I use a Wagner heat gun and putty knife. Don"t get the gun too close or hold in one spot for very long or the paint will ignite.
