the steering on my ford 9n got out of time . one tire is straight the other is turned in. I have come to the conclusion that it is out of time in the steering column does any one know what has to be done to correct this? I WANTED TO PUT THIS QUESTION OUT BEFORE I TAKE THE STEERING COLUMN APART, BECAUSE ITS QUITE A JOB.thanks, Tim

You have turned the steering wheel to the max and the gears are out of sync heres how to correct it without disassembly.Dissconnect both drag links at the steering arms and move left arm rearward as far as possible and the right arm forward to unmesh the gears. Re-engage both sectors with the steering shaft, when in proper position the arms will be parallel and point slighly rearward. this is a common problem w/9N when turning too far. Hope this helps Jake
