Decals

I have painted my old Case 470 and purchased a full set of Decals. I assume I need to wait for warmer weather to install the decals. I'm working outside in N. La. I think you use warm soapy water and a sponge. Someone give me the proper procedure. Thanks Leon

Leon, the way I've always applied decals on boats, etc is to mix two drops of dishwashing soap in about a cup of warm water. You don't want it too soapy or too hot. Put the soap in the water not vice versa because you don't need bubbles. Rub the soap mixture on the surface and apply the decals. If you have several that need to line up, like along a hood line, put them all on at one time. The soap allows you to move the decals slightly only for a very short time. Once they begin to stick it's too late to move them without tearing them up. You need to get them as close to right the first time as you can. I then rub the decals with a soft plastic squeegee to remove bubbles. Then wipe off excess water with a towel. Let them dry overnight. I don't know why you can't do this during the winter in La. on a fairly mild day It's always worked for me on every decal I've applied, good luck.
