I am trying to remove the auger assembly. Do I need to remove the auger pulley to remove the assembly. There are 3 nuts behing the auger pulley. How do I get to them for removal? Is there an easier way than use a thin wrench?

These are the kind of jobs that make you go:"Hmmm?" I think you will have to dismantle the large front auger and shaft, and the shaft to the gear box, then remove the inner auger (Assuming this is a 2-stage)! The three bolts hold the secondary auger cover in place. Its just a case of removing the parts until you get to the bad part! I had one of them given to me, and when i tried to get it apart to replace the inner end bearing, nothing short of dynamite would get anything apart, so i took the easy way out! I removed the engine, and junked the rest of it! Rustyj
