My 8-n keeps blowing voltage regulators. Have bought the last 3 at TSC. When I install them,they charge above 20 volts. Have ran the tractor with the lights on so the battery doesn"t boil,but still doesn"t seem to help. Each voltage regulator gives out after a couple of months. Have gone over the wiring several times. Any ideas?

Sounds like you are literally frying these regulators. A field wire ot winding that is shorted to ground will cause this situation on Delco generators for sure. When the fields are gounded on a generator winding it will charge to it's maximum amount, because it bypesses the voltage regulation part of the regulator. the regulator provides a controlled amount of grounding in place of the old 3 position light switch with the resistor for charging rate control. it will also sling the solder out of the communtater bars because it generates excessive heat. Check for raw or pinched wires.
