I am having problems with rust and 50 years of buildup in my gas tank. I am using the tractor so I need to know the quickest and easiest way to clean and seal the tank. Any help would be appricated. Thank You.

I used Kreem on both my Harley and Super A tank and was quite pleased. Read review link below. You can get it at motorcycle shops. Might need 2 kits for tractor tank. Use plastic over filer hole, replace gas cap to seal, and the plastic will keep the cap form getting glued closed. As a pre cleaner, I poured in some navel jelly, guess Ospho would do as well, and put a 10 ft chain in the tank and rolled it over and over for a while. The chain is easier to remove than screws, nuts, bolts,etc. Your chain gets a cleaning as a bonus.

I have good luck using rubbing alcohol, remove the outlet bowl, put pipe plug in the bottom. Use a quart of alc and a handful of short wood screws, shake several times a day, repeating if not clean. Have used this on tractors, small engines. I use a magnet to get the screws out. Some use pea gravel but hard to get out
