I have a Super H Farmall and one cylinder does not have a hot spark. I have replaced everything coil,wires,cap & point Etc. I have changed things around and it still the same problem. Same cylinder. Even different cap. Tried another plug.I have some fire but not like the other three. Other than that she runs great.

I'd check the lobes on the distributor to see if they are all the same or if one has been worn flatter than the others.

Also, check for excessive wear in the distributor bushings, and verify the the shaft has not been bent, so that the points are not adequately opening at the time the problem cylinder fires.

When I first start it the engine it runs smooth. It hits strong on all four but then in 1 or 2 min. it starts to miss. It acts like something is breaking down. when I lay a screw driver across the #3 cap and touch it to the top clip that holds the cap on I get a small spark there. Just that one .

At first I thought you had a vacuum leak on the intake manifold on that one cylinder, but now we know that the miss only occurs when hot, that's probably not it. Can't explain the spark thing, but I'd check the valve lash -- if one valve is way too tight when everything warms up, it may not be closing.

I have the same problem with my 48 M.
Still trying to figure it out.
I did a 12 VDC NEG conversion last year, and the old girl ran great.
The tractor started missing under load when warm, and is getting worse and worse.
For those of use that have experienced it, it acts like when fuel level get really low and starts to run out of gas. But I have checked and re-checked the fuel delivery. HELP! SNOW IS COMING! MUST...PLOW...SNOW...
