Hello Folks; Need some expertise. I want to remove the transmission cover of a "C" but do not know what to do with the gear shift. It appears to be connected to the transmission cover. Do I need to disconnect it somewhere before removing the cover? Many THANKS in advance.

Frmall C?-Knock the pin out and it will lift out. Or, lift off the cover and it will remain with it. It is not in the way of anything inside, and does not need to be removed.

To CNKS; Thank you for the information. I found the pin under many coats of paint!
