Is it possible to free up the motor and clutch on a W-6, and how would I go about it? My brother will help me work on it, but we were not sure of the best method for getting everything going again. Thank you.

Boy, there's more ways to free up a stuck engine than there are ways to avoid going to church on Sunday. Check out the ARCHIVES of this site and do a search for "stuck engine" "frozen motor" "Freeing up a ...." or any other phrase that hints at the problem. You'll have more suggestions than you can read in a day.

PB Blaster, WD40, Marvel Mystery Oil, Automatic transmission fluid, Diesel oil. Kerosene, they all work to some degree. Personally, I like the penetrants. including Liquid wrench. They seem to be able to get between the sticking parts and loosien things up fairly fast. One word of caution: before you put a 42" breaker bar and socket on that crankshaft nut. Pull the oil pan and check to be sure that you don't have a connecting rod trapped against the block. Good luck,

Hey Try aproduct called PB Blaster sold at hardwarestores and wallmart. Sray a good amount of it in the engine cylinders( Pull all the plugs out) and let it sit. Sometimes if it hass been sitting for a awhile the oil runs down from the wall and condensation forms between the rings and the cylinder walls. But in othe cases the pistons and everything under the sun is frozen up. Try turning the crank by hand or with a socket. Hope it helps
