ok Steve, is this on the 353, tank above like you said, easy, too. you can open the bleed screws on the filters if ya want, close when ya get a solid stream of fuel. or on the hoe just fill,crank if ya did not run it too dry. detroits are self bleeding in desigh. perkins can be a pain, dd are so very easy- your should be easy- head will be full of fuel. noise- depends on the engine the make, timing of the injection, how whipped,many many things injection style, direct, indirect, lanova, perchameber, sytle of air intake too, i have a 8.2-yes i know it is junk,DD four stroke, but the same style of injection as the 53.71. i have played, just do not like noise-very quiet at idie, no clang clang. good power for what it is very little smoke- friend of mine has a 671 on a saw mill. he has played with it, it idie, the thing is just nasty, wound up is - beyond awful, he loves it. just installed a 353 in a case w7 loader- the 301 needs rest. Leid desiel did the reman on it, nice and quiet, very quiet. honk honk
