I fabricated an awesome loader for my super M. I connected the hydraulics to the belly pump. The problem is fluid keeps spewing out the overflow (vent)hole. I tried a solid cap and no luck. I tried increasing the size of the pipe at the cap and then capping it and still no luck. I don't understand why this belly pump in spewing fluid everytime it is engaged. I don't want to incest in an auxillary pump until I understand the belly pump better. It should work right?

I guess I don't fully understand your question, is the oil spewing out of the belly pump fill pipe? There is no actual overflow/vent, but if you have too much oil in the system, it will overflow back out of the fill pipe. What type of cylinders are you using on the loader?

Exactly. THe oil is coming out of the cap on the belly pump. There is not too much oil either. I have double acting cylinders not only on the loader but also on the 3 pt hitch.

Is your tractor equipped with a two way valve?
The original set-up will not handle double acting cylinders, it is one way only.
Are you sure that your loader cylinders are double acting? For instance, the cylinders on a McCormick #31 loader appear to be two way cylinders, but they are not. The front of the cylinder is a reservoir, because the belly pump will not hold enough oil to get the loader all the way to the top. The hoses from the front ports on these cylinders need to be attached to a common tee fitting, and then attached with a pipe union directly to the fill pipe of the belly pump, this way, any excess oil will be directed into the reservoir of the cylinder, and can be drawn back out when the belly pump needs it. Does this help?

I would suspect that your hydraulic resevoir is too small for the volume of your cylinders. When you lower the loader, the oil comes back in such a rush that it comes out of the vent. Can you hook up an extra storage tank in the system- like what JD used to hang on the back of their A, B, etc. tractors?
