Have taken the generator off the OC3 in for a rebuild; somewhere read and copied instructions about polarizing but can't locate them. Would appreciate step-by-step instructions to follow after the generator is reinstalled.
Thanks for any help. PC

MJ:
If you are still out there, any idea what to do about an ammeter that does not register? Got the generator going, putting out proper voltage charge at high rpm, but the needle on the ammeter does not move; took it out, cleaned terminals but still no life in it. Maybe it is not wired correctly? Needle wiggles and is not stuck.Come back on e-mail if you wish. Thanks

Thanks for the info. Obviously my "senior moments" are getting longer , more frequent, etc.
Seems like I ought to just remember how to do the polarization but age doesn't always help.

Again, thanks for the referral. \

MJ: Think there is a permanent cure for the problem but prefer to continue the senior moments than terminate and never have to forget again.
Have a gooder.
