Your local NAPA store will or can get a lot of the things you will need. Over here in Southwest Virginia NAPA had my carb kit on the shelf but it did not include the float and they could not get the float. Terry

Try this: Take the low-speed needle out of the carburetor and give the hole a shot of carb cleaner followed by a short blast of high-pressure air from a rubber-tipped blowgun then screw the needle back in all the way until it bottoms( EASY on the 'bottoms'!) then screw it back out a turn and a half or 2. That should get it started and running right if the trick worked. Adjust the idle speed, tweak the mixture and you're good to go.

Just be warned that a big shot of air can implode the floats.

If that doesn't work, remove the carb, dismantle it carefully (might be able to save your gaskets), remove high and low speed needles (keeping track as to how many turns they are adjusted out from bottomed) and do the whole carb as mj suggested.

I use Berryman't spray chem tool (and then the air, several times) as it has great ingredients to melt varnish and that's what usually plugs fuel metering holes in carbs and that is your problem. You aren't getting enough fuel to your engine. Then put her back together and should be a go. Just did a lawn mower this wk end. Wouldn't start (did have spark). Popped the carb off, shot her up, aired er out, put her back together and presto.....purred like a kitten.
