Jim,

using the one-gallon bucket is fine, it comes with a basket so you can suspend the parts...as noted, use eye-wear and gloves...

ALSO, very important, when you soak the carb, make sure any of the soft-parts [seals, felt-pieces/etc] are removed first or you have replacements...the cleaner will almost dissolve them...

good luck,
tom

Put the parts in a metal can--not plastic--to clean. When I bought my can of cleaner, NAPA had a one gallon paint can that works great. Be sure to put the lid on tight. Don't splash the parts when put in the cleaner-tough on skin and eyes!! Good luck.

NAPA sells a 5 gallon dip bucket that you can soak the carb in. It works the best that I have ever seen. Plus you dont take the chances you take with sprays plus you can allow all parts to soak and eat away foreign matters. As a caution though please follow directions and warnings as a safety precaution because its very caustic.
