John Deere A it seem like when I would go up a big hill by the time I got to the top I was starting to slow down. I don't know if the clutch is sliping or what. I have adjusted the three bolts on the clutch, but that seems to just adjust how the clutch engages. Am I missing a adjustment someplace?

I think the thing you are missing is the fact that pulling that hill is taking the wind out of that old A. same thing happens when you walk up a long flight of stairs. tightning the 3 bolts as you did will tighten the clutch, and make the snap over harder, in other words the clutch probley aint slipping.
