I got Zinc Dust Primer instead of regular old gray automotive primer. Went ahead and sprayed the fenders hood and front nose on my 1939 AC B. Anybody had any experience with this stuff ? It really is heavy and went on great split around 50/50. Thanks in advance.

Iam not familiar with the product you used but am familiar with two part mix sold as Inorganic Zinc primer. This product is widely used in the marine industry.Generally it is applied on sand blasted surfaces to have a (tooth) to anchor it.Have seen it stand up to salt water as long as ten years if not mechanically damaged.I have also seen this coating scratched by having heavy loads dragged over it's surface and it was almost self healing for a fair period of time without being repainted. It does go on fairly heavy. In any case even if not the same material I believe any good guality zinc coating is very durable. Every grey,( spray can automotive primer I have used was found to dissolve in presence of motor oil if not sealed with a top coat.
