I am starting to restore my farmall 130. What is the best way to strip the paing, sand blasting, media blasting, etc..? Also what are the main items that should be taken off of the tractor prior to stripping the paing?

Check out FIT's page. I've used this process, it's a lot cheaper than oven cleaner and a far superior way to remove paint, the electrolysis method also works very well espescially on smaller rusty items.

When i restored my tractor i found that oven cleaner worked very well in taking off paint and grease. just spray it on and let it sit for a while but not long enough for it to dry up and then preasure wash it off. If you do this you need try not to get any on the tires because it will bleach them. and any other stuff that it might hurt, like guages, or the seat. If you sand blast make very sure that all openings are sealed tight because that sand makes it everywhere!
