Roller Pump for sprayer

I am trying to find the best way to rebuild a roller pump for my sprayer. The bearings are bad and I have them out now but the next thing I am wondering is "what can I use to clean dirt, gunk or build-up on the rollers"?Also is there something I can use to clean the casting(pump body) with, since there is a lot of rust visible.
This is just the small type pump that mounts on the pto shaft to power my field sprayer.I was thinking of soaking the pump and impeller that holds the nylon rollers in a cleaning solution.I cannot use a wire wheel on the nylon roller because it will tear them up.The rollers are about 1/2 inch in diameter and about 1 1/2 inches long.Any helpful advise will be appreaciated!

I have used roller pumps off and on for the past 30 years -- they make rebuild kits for them, but I have usually not been completely successful rebuilding them. Probably because if the rollers are worn the rest of the pump is too (atrazine, etc). My recommendation is to toss it and buy a new one -- less than $100, unless you have a large one. But, if you insist on rebuilding it, don't clean the rollers, replace them. If you wore out the bearings, that pump has seen a lot of use, and you got your money's worth out of it.
