Help! I am restoring my fathers Farmall A, mid 1945, and the block is cracked. How/where do I find a replancement? Is this tractor possible to be converted to diesel now?
Thank you

I just bought a used Block out of a "B", that appears to be in good condition. I am in the process of tearing down my "A" for a rebuild.
My block was only cracked on the outside and not the inside.

Where is yours cracked, and what part of the country are you in?

Anything is possible, but if you want a diesel, it is best to buy another tractor. Having said that there were some diesel C's made, I believe in France or Germany. The gas engines in the C and A are identical, except for the hole in the block for the hydraulic pump, but you are probably going to look a long time for one of those in a diesel version. Replacement gas blocks are relatively easy to find. Call Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch -- 785-548-7437. You can also have the block repaired if it is not too far gone.

Phone numbers are ok, it is web links that Kim doesn't like, I've never had a phone number rejected. Probably given OEM Tractor Parts and Steel Wheel Ranch a hundred times.

If it is your own business you are mentioning, Kim has found out about it, and everytime you give a phone number, your IP address is blocked. She will not block your email address though. I don't have a business, but certain web addresses are blocked -- I don't think Steel Wheel Ranch is a direct competitor to this site, OEM Tractor Parts is, but the one that really gets blocked is Vaulew built, if I spell it right, more often than not it gets rejected. If you are not a business, I have no explanation.
