Could be the ball of twine for that side is wet or just damp. Try swapping sides with the balls of twine and see if the problem moves to the other knotter; if so it is the twine causing the problem. I've seen this before where one ball got wet and the other didn't. Hope this helps.

If the knot is tied on the end of the string that is on top of the bale:
1. The twine is too short to tie together, you need to increase the tension on the twine disc by tightening the bolt on the right rear of the knotter assembly, slightly. The string is slipping out twine disc before tying the knot.

2. The string is long enough to tie together,
the twine finger is not picking up the string when the neeedle brings it up from the bottom to tie the knot. Since the other side is tying, it could be that the bolt holding the twin finger is loose enough that it has moved causing the timing to be wrong or just not pulling it into to the bill hook far enough for it to catch it when operating at normal speed.

3. THe material you are baling is too wet and causing to much pull to be exerted on the string going around the wet material.

The OPERATOR manual for your baler has detailed information, with pictures, to help you determine the cause of improper knots.
