Can't get this thing to start. Got a clicking sound when I turned the key. Replaced the solenoid. Now I get nothing when I turn the key. Battery is fully charged. Where do I go next? How can I start this thing by-passing stuff? Not real mechanical, but I've been able to keep this thing running for 28 years. Sears even told me to give up on it six years ago. I'm out to prove them wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

I have the same kind of problem with my 1968 Suburban xl10. I found a loose connection the the ignition switch. If you have tried to by-pass it then it could be your starter. If thats the case then good luck finding another one that works.

Sounds like a bad connection, check battery to frame ground. A easy starter test is to get a car battery run jumper cables pos. to starter terminal, on starter. Ground negative to frame and see if it cranks.
