I posted a message a while back concerning the PTO disengaging on my B Farmall, which runs a Woods Mower. The reply back about the "poppet and spring" replacement was tried with limited success. Upon further inspection, the end of the MAIN shaft for the transmission is worn out. But I believe with removal and a welding build - up this will solve the problem... Has anyone ever dealt with this problem ?.. Any suggestions will be helpful ! Thank You

Welding the shaft may weaken the shaft because you are disturbing the heat treatment it was given when manufactured. You may put a lot of effort into making an inferior part. Your best bet might be to find a better one at a junk yard. Just a thought.
