Here is a product I found useful for repairing grooves worn into shafts from the oil seals. Some guys fill with JB Weld to repair. I use JB Weld then I install a speedy sleeve or speedy shim. It is a collar that slides onto the shaft. They are available in a number of sizes. I heat mine in oil for easier installation. They come with a tool for installing,but it is generally too short. So, I drill a hole into a board a bit larger than the shaft then push the shim into place. It has a tear off lip that you may have to remove. In some cases I have left it on if it doesn't interfere.

Just wanted to know where you found the speedy sleeves. And are they priced reasonable. I have a farmall H with several shaft seal groves.any reply would be very useful thanks.

You can get the speedy sleves from most IH tractor dealers and many automotive supply houses. CR makes many of them. Hope this helps. Phil
