What type of sand blaster should I buy to clean up old tractors before painting?

go to tptools.com. I own a pressure tank blaster, Model 99 and a large cabinet model 976. Both are VERY WELL made units. Tip has the best value for the buck. Am ordering another cabinet just for plastic abrasive work. Good people.The model 99 will work with smaller compressors, like wise the cabinet.

What size compressor of you have? If you are sandblasting the whole tractor and have less than 20 cfm you will be doing a lot of waiting for the compressor to catch up. Look at the cfm's not the horsepower because the horsepower ratings are very deceiving. Don't let anyone tell you that a larger tank for the compressor will help. It will help for a couple of minutes and then you will be waiting again-only longer. It's worth spending a little more for a good sandblasting unit, but it is only half of the combination. The compressor is the other half.
