Can anyone help me here- I have a jc whitney hour gauge with one positive and one negative wire hook up. Where on the tractor do I hook up the positive and negative wires? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Tye,
Assuming your tractor is a negative ground system (The "-" battery terminal is connected to the tractor frame) and has a distributor type ignition system:
The negative wire connects to a good ground (frame) and the positive wire should be connected to the same terminal on the ignition switch as the wire coming from the coil so it has power to it only when the ignition switch is turned on.

If the tractor is positive ground ("+" battery terminal is connected to the tractor frame) simply reverse the wires to the hour meter.

It matters as to What kind of tractor it is?
