Oil Drain Plug Paint-Stuck

I bought a restored /repainted 1950 MM G tractor with cast iron engine, oil plug in underbelly. It has the square head drain plug. Have tried and tried to get the drain plug unscrewed so I can drain and change the oil. The repainting has apparently stuck that drain plug fast. I am trying NOT to strip or round-off the corners, but need some ideas. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

If it's really stuck.. you can try to baby it off without deforming it. perhaps an open end wrench and a pipe.. etc.

sometimes a smack on the head with a maul, and or a lil heat...

I like a pipe wrench supported by a bottle jack and a small piece of wood, and a big pipe. Might have to file the edges smooth.. but who's gonna crawl under there and look?

In real bad cases you can take a chissle and tap the plug arund to remove it. Some people weld a large hex nut to the head and pull it of fthat way.. then grind the welds of fthe nut and touch up the square head.

Whne you put it back on.. use a nice new gasket on clean surfaces.. and don't torque it like a gorilla trying to impress his mate.

have you tried using an 8 point socket to prevent rounding off the edges?
