I bout a wd45 out of abarn and I found the gears shift did't work. The slides on the shift forks are stuck and the shift lever is loose. They will wiggle but not slide. Do I have to take them completly apart? Also the reverse lever does not spring back like one I have out of a wd.

Best to get the I&T AC 11 service manual, take the tower off and lube everything well. Try working the forks and rails. If you take the rails out, note all the little pieces shown in the manual- detent springs and balls, interlock parts, etc. Very easy to lose one. Bottom of the shift lever might need building up as well.
