I have just got a pulley for a Massey Harris super 101 twin power. It is the old paper pulley and is starting to show cracks on the inside. so i am wanting to treat it with. The man Igot it from said to treat it with lindeed oil. So I got a gallon of it, and on the back it says it is good for dring wood out. So i figured that the paper being almost 70 years old that I did not need to dry it out any more. So what would be good to rehydrate the paper in the pulley with. After I rehydrate it I can seal it then with something like a cleacoat. thanks for your help

you can apply some every now and then to keep the pulley from drying out. clear coat wont stick to linseed oil.
